On 30th November, it was Alcohol & Smoking Awareness Day here at Inspired HQ as part of our Better Health at Work Award activities.
The teams from Better Health at Work North East and Lifeline Project were on-site sharing advice and providing our staff with information on the affects that alcohol and smoking has on the body.

We did have a giggle at some of our team members trying to kick a football with beer goggles on (it’s harder than it looks) but all in the name of education. And we were very pleased to see lots of you sign up for our stop smoking clinic too, good work!

There were lots of handy information sheets, demonstrations and questions answered by the Better Health at Work and Lifeline Project to help all our staff understand more about what they can do to look after themselves.

We’ve also had the lovely team from Harissa Kitchen in on 8th December offering some lunch samples that were both delicious and healthy… winner! We want to inspire our employees to eat healthily, try new things and reach their personal weight loss and well-being goals. With tasters, recipes and advice, this was a perfect way to kick off this branch of our Better Health at Work activity. And how yummy does everything look?

This all comes as part of our focus on helping our staff in three key areas; alcohol, smoking and healthy eating and weight loss. Make sure you watch this space for more updates on all our activity.
